Ezyloader is a truck-mounted lifting system designed to assist beekeepers in managing hives.
ACI was approached by M&K Stafford Engineering to design the electrical sub-system for their next generation beehive crane. These cranes, mounted on the back of beekeepers trucks features a boom auto-leveling system and brakes to ensure that a raised beehive isn’t liable to swing under the force of gravity or strong winds.
The new system adopts Bluetooth controls for the crane operator and replaces the hydraulic rams of the previous generation with smoother, more precise electric actuators.
In adopting the innovative Bluetooth controls, the system gained additional benefits such as logging and automatic reporting of hive weights.
